Personal
On a personal level, I am 31 years of age. I am currently in graduate school for my masters. I teach computer skills to 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. I have a pet miniature Doberman Pinscher named Lucky. He is quite old and is surprising still around and kicking. He too has his share of medical problems. He was born in November of 1993. So that makes him about 105 dog years old. I enjoy watching action, science fiction, horror, suspense, thrillers, drama, romance, and comedy movies. Instead of going to a video store, I rent online. I use Netflix on the Internet. The link is located in my Links in the menu. It does cost a monthly fee to the rent the movie. In September, I recently lost my mom to small cell carcinoma cancer. I will have a dedication page to her and my father posted on this website as soon as I get the time to create it.
I enjoy hanging out with friends. Since starting grad school, I haven't really had that much time to hang out with them because of it. I am hoping that by the end of May of 2010, I will have all my classes completed. I like to bowl even though I have not bowled in a very long time. I also enjoy helping people who are not acquainted with today's fast-pace technology world by tutoring them in the use of their computer. I also enjoy working in photography being I have a digital camera and do some video editing using an Everio JVC hard drive digital video camera to make mediocre movies. I am in no way a professional photographer or videographer. I am more free-lance.
As to favorite colors, well I don't mind a variety. If I had a choice to choose between the colors red and blue, I'd go blue. Red is second best to me.
I do live with my aunt in my own home. My mother passed away September 25, 2009 to cancer. I am having a rough start to this year. I am dealing with my mother's passing fairly well but the holidays are going to be the toughest time. My mom was diagnosed in August of 2008. She began her aggressive chemotherapy and radiation in August and finished it in November. She was at a moment in her life during that time that she just almost wanted to give up. I thank a compassionate doctor for his work at West Clinic's own Dr. Johnson. He knew what to do and how to treat the cancer. It was not a definite cure but at least it did prolong her life by a year, one month, and a few days. The type of cancer she had was just too much for her. I thank God and Jesus that she is not suffering this anymore and that she is in the best place that we all want to be when we leave this world.
I have had my share of vehicles in the past. My first vehicle was a Nissan Midnight Blue single cab truck. My second vehicle was a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier, which is being transferred to new ownership. My third vehicle was a Ford Focus. Now I drive a SportTrac. My next car, who knows, maybe a Nissan or Hundai vehicle. I know that I don't want to travel a far distance to get it serviced.

Volunteer Work
I once volunteered in these events:
November 2006, 2007, I was a guest speaker at Dyersburg State for a professor who was teaching Foundations In Education. I showed the students some basic PowerPoint skills, a little bit of Excel and discussed how it can be used in educational setting; and discussed electronic grading in the education field.
Fall 2002- Spring 2003 Before receiving my bachelor degree, I volunteered in H. O. S. T. S. (Help One Student To Succeed) Program at Dyersburg Intermediate School one day per week for 40 minutes mentoring a student in math. I volunteered in the program for two semesters.
Fall 2001 - Spring 2002 At Dyersburg State, I was elected Vice President of Alpha Epsilon Alpha Chapter for Phi Theta Kappa. I also started the local chapter and regional web sites in fall 2003. I received a reward for Regional Webmaster. Please know that the website has pretty much gone because of the changes that Dyersburg State has done to their website.
Spring 2001 - Summer 2001: I also volunteer to design Dr. Billy Williams's Biology 1 & 2 study guides on his website. Again, the website was converted over to something new.
March 1998: At the Tennessee Technology Center Ripley, I volunteered with the Business Expo which took place at Lauderdale Middle in 1998.
